5 years, 8 companies, 11 jobs… and it’s not going to stop there.
I would love to settle down and find the perfect job. The one who will make me want to stay in the same company for years, the one who will fulfil me, the one who will make me grow and develop me, the one who will lead to a promotion and more responsibility.I have never celebrated a first work-anniversary, never got this extra 1 day of holidays after one year of service, never had an increase of salary and missed most of the staff parties because I wasn’t here yet or left already.
It was never my intention to keep changing jobs after only few months.
Some say I am too impatiente and need to prove myself first, and they are probably right. However I also believe that I am a really hard worker with a lot of potential and that life is too short to stay in mediocre job with high pressure, stress and minimum wage, when you don’t see a future in it.
Some other will say that I am treating jobs like one will do with a boyfriend: have fun with him and then dump him when you get bored. Well they are not that wrong. Will you stay forever with someone who doesn’t make you happy and with whom, things will never changed ? The answer is no and I do apply the same behaviour on jobs as well.
In a month, I will finally celebrate my first work-anniversary. Hurray ! But don’t say victory too fast. I did recently applied for another job. I know you are not that surprised right ? You start seeing a pattern there? You’ll get used to it.
However all my decisions have a reason, are at least explanation, behind it. And in this blog I will take you along me, in my journey to the perfect job. It will be bumpy, it will be confusing but oh my, I do hope that it will make you laugh and challenge your views on the all working world ! So seat back, relax, and let me take you through my confused and professional life.
